- The Seven Stages of Hocomania - (reproduced on this site, too)
- Retire Early Homepage
- REHP Forums
- This site's guide to specific REHP hocomania pages
- DRiP Guy delurks - a nice summary from a typical board member
- More from DRiP Guy - When someone first enters hocoresearch they often make great summaries, points and comparisons. DRiP Guy has some good posts throughout the thread and a load of hocus quotes that I want to find links to and include in the quotes list on this site
- Schroeder debunks hocus' quoting of experts - a lot of work. Good work!

Great hocus Rants
- Book of Hook rant
- Misconstruing sgeeeee
- Goons and Forums and JWR
- Letter I to Scott Burns (truncated; does the full version still exist?)
- Letter II to Scott Burns
- Mini rant Oct 21, 2006 - Perhaps not long enough for a rant, but a relatively short post that succinctly covers some of hocus' core themes
- Mini Rant Oct 26, 2006 - another refreshingly short rant with core hocodelusions; calls for community members to go to board operators and demand action be taken on intercst and the goons
- I Want To Be Your Board General March 26, 2005
- M* Vanguard Diehards conversation 55037 - This link starts at reply # 30. hocus takes on Larry Swedroe (a real published author). Starting at reply 34 hocus and Swedroe have a lot of back-and-forth posting through post #89. hocus is condescending to Swedroe while Swedroe is alternately patient and sharp. Dec 4 and 5, 2006. Paragraph from #49, hocus to Swedroe: My sense is that you feel wedded to some sort of understanding of how stocks work that you read about in a book, Larry. It is not at all unusual to find things written in books that do not corrrespond to what happens in the real world. I'll say for a third time that I mean no disrespect, but I very much believe that you need to run a common-sense filter on what you believe about how stocks work in the long run.
- hocus and JWR comments on Rob Bennett's blog - They appear to assume that a vast silent majority agree with their views and ponder about why the silent majority hasn't taken action against their detractors Dec 9 2006 Our Goonishness is not sitting in the toilet bowl, Our Goonishness is sitting in our gut. We are a constipated community that has lost the knack of keeping the goonishness moving through our system on a regular basis.
The problem is not just Greaney. Greaney is someone who took note of our problem and elected to exploit it for his own purposes.
Our real problem is that we don't know what to do about our own [****].
- Slamming WSJ's Jonathan Clements, Jan 19, 2007. hocus reacts to a Clements article mentioning a 4% SWR. hocus purports to know that Clements is moving towards seeing hocus' vision of truth and tries to explain that Clements must be too scared to report the truth. He compares the situation to the Watergate scandal but refers to the movie version for some reason.
- hocus compares himself to published finance authors favorably in reply #28, January 12, 2007
- azanon, June 23, 2007. hocus attacks azanon after asking him his opinion and getting it. And it goes on for one, two more posts after azanon replies to the first attack.
- hocus, speaking in third person, proposes killing several people including himself and a board owner's young granddaughter - In a rare act of poster's remorse he deleted his original post, but it is quoted in its entirety at the link Oct 13 2005
- Ghost of hocus posts Oct 22, 2006, claims hocus died on May 12, 2002
- Dull shoes, sexy dolphins and what bears do in the woods Dec 9 2006 although listed as Dec 11 2006
- Retire Early Home Page forums (site owner and members openly mock him)
- his blog
- his pre-June-2008 blog
- JWR's blog
- Valuation-Informed Indexing group in Google Groups - hocus set up a Google Group in March 2006
- Morningstar forums (banned February 2007 immediately after 90+ forum readers defected in one day to an alternate location over M* failing to prevent hocus from hijacking thread after thread)
- Early Retirement Forums (banned in 2005)
- NoFeeBoards.com (defunct; banned hocus twice then shut down arguably because of him) partial archive preserved by hocoresearchers
- TMF Discussion Boards (as hocus) (as McBeaned/RobBennett) (as AbrahamLinkin/hocus2004) (multiple life bans from posting but still pays to read?)
- A few other odd places occasionally
