Hocoresearcher Labs at hocomania.bigmoneyjim.com

This site serves two main purposes (read more for extended ideas):

The first purpose is to help me get familiar with administering this site software package. It is very powerful with lots of features including collaborative efforts, and it's going to take some playing around for me to figure out how to get it to do what I want it to do.

The secondary purpose is to document, analyze and mock hocomania. I created hocus Bingo! in an earlier fit of amused mockery, and this will make a good place to document bingos and host the later revisions after I reprogram it to fit here.

Other ideas I've had include a hocobot that responds to queries as hocus might, a hoco-rant generator and (credit for this goes to REHP's Schroeder I think) a hocus argument flowchart. The first two would require special programming, but the third sounds like a good candidate for the collaborative features of this site.

I'm particularly interested in learning the organizational features of this software (categorizing content) and folksonomy features (user "tagging" of content; think TMF recs but you "rec" with any word you choose) in a module I'll add. Imagine we link a to a hocus post or article and comment on it. User can add tags as appropriate like "hocorant", "lyrics", "delusional", "abusive" and whatnot, and after enough articles are documented that way you can list and click the tagwords and get a list of all delusional hocus posts or a list of hocorants, etc..

I've spoken before about creating mock sites of http://passion-saving.com and http://early-retirement-planning-insights.com. I think I'll do that as subsections of this site to familiarize myself with the categorical features of this software. It will be a good exercise and the result will be a skeleton document ready for hocoresearchers to fill in alternative (and funny) content.
